The Zenos Academy programme was created to meet the needs of these people who wanted to enter the industry with the appropriate IT Support and IT Service qualifications.
It was also aimed at providing employers with access to a pool of talented, trained and motivated young individuals who understand the demands of the world of work and who had the skills, experience and confidence to meet them.
Programme outline
In just 5 months at a Zenos Academy you will undertake a full-time, structured course leading to a range of Advanced Apprenticeship qualifications that will typically include:
- Key Skills Assessment & Certification
- Technical Training & Certification
- NVQ Level III Assessment & Certification
- Internationally recognized Vendor Certification, eg Microsoft or CompTIA
- Business Skills

What will I receive at the end?
At the end of the course, students will receive an Advanced Apprenticeship certificate, City&Guilds Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners, City&Guilds NVQ level III certificate, and Key Skills level II certificates and are given the opportunity to gain professional qualifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL.

Funding for Academy Students
Students at our Academies may be fully funded providing they are aged between 16 and 18, and partially funded for older students and school leavers through the Government’s Learning and Skills programme.
In addition students will be reimbursed for travelling expenses and, subject to means assessment, may also qualify for Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
Help into Employment
While obtaining these valuable IT qualifications, Zenos trainees also receive a more rounded programme that encompasses business acumen and key skills, such as problem-solving and communication, in order to gain employment and succeed in the IT industry.
At the end of the initial 5-month course our professional recruiters will help the graduates get that vital first step into employment – with a real and suitable job.
We have close relationships with Connexions, selected employment agencies and a range of blue-chip IT clients including Fujitsu, Capgemini, EDS, Computacenter and Xerox – and more than 80% of our Academy graduates secure suitable full-time employment.
And, as you’ll see from the Case Studies on this site, we continue our relationship with you and your employer once you are in work through a dedicated Student Liaison Officer and other Zenos staff to ensure that you complete the final part of the programme.
