What are apprenticeships (apprentiships)?

Apprenticeships are a vocational route where you can earn ‘n’ learn at the same time. Apprentices work on-the-job developing skills in a certain industry whilst working towards a qualification like a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or BTEC. There are many different apprenticeships in different sectors.

How much do I earn on an apprenticeship (apprentiships)?

The minimum pay for an apprentice job is £80 per week, but the average weekly pay for an apprentice job is £170 rising to £210. Your apprentice job pay will increase as you progress through your apprenticeship.
