Marketing guru

A bit of a marketing god, Richard was born in rural Australia before going to school in Melbourne. He worked as a jackaroo (working on a ranch) for 4 years before going to Monash University (dropped out after 3 years).
He then worked in finance sector before setting up and selling an educational marketing business in Australia (sold to EdComs. Richard then lived in the US where he did consulting while also being a director of several internet companies in Australia.
Moving to London he spent 2 years in a senior role at the newly created DfES Business Development Unit (Government department). Next he set up the assignment report, a business intelligence subscription service. He later sold this to Meissa Limted (an M&A company specialising in education).
With the backing of Paul Birch founder of Bebo, Richard then set up Tutpup, an online maths and spelling game which was recently sold to UK games developer Mind Candy. Most of these activities have been done through MediaTaylor, his company that focuses on business opportunities in the education sector.
